Hello everyone,
I graduated with a BS in Biology in 2007. I've been working in research since -- non-clinical aka animal research (please withhold any negative comments here about animal research and please don't make me feel any worse!).
With that being said, I clearly don't have much related clinical experience. In one of my models of research, however, I do surgery using sterile technique and employ simple anesthesia via intubation ventilation with isoflurane/oxygen mix. I also monitor CO2, SYS, DIA, HR, BP and Temp.
Because I'm working with rodents, should I provide this as a supplement to my proof of clinical anesthesia exposure? Or will this flag me in a negative way?
Also, I can't find info regarding completion of pre-requisites. Apart from Emory, do schools allow you to complete pre-reqs before matriculation? I never took a Biochem class!
Thanks guys!
Best,
Heather
